JavaOne 2017 – Tuesday

It’s nice to be back in Moscone even it wears out more shoe leather.

The conference started on Sunday with a range of User Group meetings.  I unfortantely spent most of that day trying unsucessfully to revive my PiShark demo for my first talk.:  Java, Pi’s, and Flying Sharks: Or How to Create a Java Airship in <127 Grams   After a frantic rewrite I mostly saved the talk!

I’m torn now wether to finish of the project or abandon it. Talking it on the road is complicated due to its fragility and the perchance for conferences to balk at someone bring an ‘airship’  At Devoxx UK I ended up tethering the shark to the table. Which defeated the whole point of the project.
